QUICK TIPS
Dishwashers
Dishwashers vary mainly by their individual
features. Consider:
- How it loads
- Where its controls are located
- How many wash cycles it offers
- Its tub material
- Its height and placement
- Its cleaning power
- Its noise level
- Whether it has adjustable and/or
removable shelves
- Whether it has multiple-size caddy
options
Most dishwashers you’ve seen probably
load by placing the plates on the bottom and the glassware on the top.
Some load just the opposite, and others have additional silverware holders
and other special features.
Controls may be on the outside of the door or on the door’s interior lip
(where they’ll be, for example, on paneled models). Electronic panels
have gained a reputation for providing better service than manual controls
over the long run.
