1 package of egg roll wrappers
1 can of apple pie filling
½ cup of walnuts (chopped)
3 cups of oil (canola, vegetable)
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 jar of caramel ice cream topping
3 tablespoons of warm water
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Lay out egg roll wrappers. Place about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling towards the bottom of the egg roll wrapper. Sprinkle some walnut pieces on top of the apples. Fold in sides of the wrapper, and while pulling toward you, fold over the wrapper and roll wrapper until you reach the top. Seal with a bit of water, rubbed on the ends of the wrapper. Fill all of your apple pie egg rolls and fry (in electric fryer) 2 at a time in hot oil. Cook until egg roll is crispy and a medium brown color. Make sure to flip egg roll while frying.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Place on serving tray and dust with confectioners sugar.
In the microwave or cleaned-out fryer, heat caramel topping , warm water and cinnamon until warmed through. Stir to combine.
Serve Apple Pie Egg rolls warm with a bowl of the Caramel Dipping Sauce!
