2010 NKBA Design Award: Medium Kitchens - Third Place

Design Notes: This kitchen incorporates antiques the homeowners collected: vintage chandeliers, a vintage brass faucet, 1800s-era stained glass windows, and a backsplash featuring 100-year-old blue and white German tile framed by sections of black marble. Detailed moldings, wide windowsills, plate racks, and a large dramatic mantel also show off their collectibles.
Products and Materials: AGA cooker, Carrara marble and cherry wood countertops, Superior Woodcraft custom cabinets, Vent-a-Hood liner, Linkasink copper prep sink, Whitehaus Collection fireclay apron sink, hand-scraped wide-plank pine flooring.
