A large standard-size refrigerator proved to be cumbersome, protruding too far from the cabinetry and countertops. A rolling cart subbed as a kitchen island but didn’t provide enough counter space, while the open shelving underneath exposed scattered pots, pans and small appliances to plain view. See next slide.
