English Manor
Kitchen

“English Manor involves a heavier look, seen in this
kitchen’s thick granite countertops. Trim was added to the
bottom of the island, resulting in a substantial,
furniture-like feel. A heavier cabinet appearance was achieved
by extending them from the floor to the ceiling with moldings
at top. Although manor kitchens weren’t necessarily painted
yellow, many were painted, so the painted inset doors
reinforce the style."

"The mantle hearth gives the look of a
manor-type cooking alcove, a shape echoed in the traditional
open shelving found throughout the room. Wooden pine floors,
lantern-type lighting, and the island’s English farmhouse prep
sink further help to preserve the English Manor style.”
