“The clients of this newly renovated mountain home requested a look that was not typically depicted in a mountain home. They wanted a style of elegance with a Tuscany flair—they did not want to ‘rough it’ while at their mountain retreat but wanted all the elegance and comfort of their other homes. They also wanted their friends, neighbors and relatives to come for a visit and gather in the kitchen with a good glass of wine. The extra large island was to be used for gathering with friends, eating for just two people, and as a separation between the kitchen and dining areas.”
